Since we were planning on travelling for a whole year and we were on the move almost every day, we needed to take everything along with us which also meat physically carrying it from Austria to Singapore. Therefore, everything we took along was driven by the requirement of high functionality as the total weight we we carried should had to be as low as possible. Wherever we could, we tried to take things along that would fulfil more than just one need.

At the end of a long process lasting several months selecting just the “right” things to take along, it was remarkable with how little one can actually travel and still fulfil all needs arising during such a trip. Nevertheless, it’s a whole household!
